The Green Bulldogs started their season off tonight by beating Stow by a score of 54-49 after being down for most of the game. Stow’s 6′ 11″ Evan Bainbridge not only controlled the offense in the first half with four threes but he also controlled the boards with six rebounds and a number of blocked shots and takeaways. However, Green’s Garrison Keeslar kept it close for Green with his four threes and Green trailed 23-20 at the half. In the second half, Stow’s Bryce Harvey took over the offense and scored 14 of his 16 points to lead Stow to a 39-35 lead at the end of the third quarter. But, Green also had an answer when Green’s Kaleb Martin came alive scoring 20 of his 22 points in the second half. The difference was Martin going 8 for 8 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.
